The toughest job in the world"就讓不少人感動萬分。

A fake job was posted online and in newspapers. The people who answered the call were given a video cam style interview, and a well-dressed and well-spoken man greeted them. He introduced the job title as director of operations, but explained that the job content was much more than that and it included factors such as (A)mobility and labor-intensive tasks.

The employer then furthered explained that commitments were 7 days a week and there would be no rest periods. One could only eat when their co-workers had finished their meal. The job was best if they had a degree in finance, medicine and the culinary arts. One could not take Christmas, Thanksgiving or any of the holidays off, it was a 365-day commitment, and also there was no pay.

This (B)dumfounded of the applicants and they started to challenge the employer. The fact it was an impossible task and also (C)inhumane to treat a person in this way. But the employer then paused and said, “What if I told you that 100 million people already hold this job, they’re called moms.”

Their hostility suddenly changed to an emotional one with some laughing it off and some (1)shedding a tear, maybe coming to realize that being a mother really is the toughest job in the world. It was a video that seeks to remind us of the greatness of mothers around the world.

The origins of Mother’s Day date back to 1908 when Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother in Grafton, West Virginia. A loving daughter, Jarvis wanted to honor her mother upon her mother’s death in 1905. She felt adult Americans had abandoned their respect towards their caregivers and this made the ambition ever stronger. By 1911, Mother’s Day became a widely celebrated day all over the States and in 1914. The President of the United States granted the holiday official status with it being celebrated on the second Sunday in May. Many countries around the world soon (2)followed suit.

Although she successfully made it an official day, she was rather disappointed at how commercialized the holiday ended up becoming. So on Mother’s Day remind yourself that its importance is not in the giving of gifts but in the strength of love. Love is something that material objects cannot replace.
